The story in a nutshell....

Performing has always been my passion. Whether I'm on stage as a solo acoustic act taking requests from my 200+ songlist,  or playing bass with a band, music has always been front and center in my life.

I was introduced to music early on watching and listening to various musically gifted family members either in church or at holiday gatherings. In third grade music class, I played percussion. That was followed by some years of marching and concert bands playing drums and briefly, I played trumpet. I had some great teachers that inspired my interest in various styles of music. I was given a bass guitar at age thirteen and began thinking of a career in music.

I played bass in several 80s metal bands and did the club circuit in and around Richmond Virginia. As the metal scene started to fade, and prospects in Richmond were dwindling, I packed up my rig and headed south to Charlotte NC. Once there I played in various country, line dance and club bands.  Eventually, I landed a touring gig with a lounge act out of Florida where I really learned about what it means to be a touring musician.

A year later I was back in NC. I was hired as the bassist for an original band from Columbia SC. I really was digging the music and decided to make the move to Columbia to pursue my career in music. The band got signed to Atlantic Records, released a CD and toured non-stop in support of our national release. I then went on to play in several other regional original and cover bands. I opened  a recording studio in the Charleston SC area before making the move back to Virginia for family matters.

Since being back in Virginia, I have played in several groups as well as worked as a sound engineer, sound system designer/installer, and tour manager.

I play 15+ dates per month. I perform at bars, brew pubs, vineyards, cider works and any other venues that will have me. When I'm not playing, I'm restoring vintage Datsun/Nissan cars for customers nationwide.
